Prince George, the third in the line of succession to the British throne behind his grandfather Prince Charles and his father William, celebrates his sixth birthday today (July 22).

His mum Catherine has released three images to mark the occasion and it does not seem six years since the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge proudly displayed their first-born on the steps of St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London.

“These two photographs were taken recently in the gardens at Kensington Palace by The Duchess of Cambridge,” stated the post on The Cambridges Facebook page.

“Thank you everyone for your lovely messages on Prince George’s Birthday.”

The happy young prince is also proudly showcasing a few missing baby teeth.

Prince George England FA Sixth Birthday

Prince George is celebrating his birthday with his siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis and Kate’s family at a holiday on the Caribbean island of Mustique, which is part of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, The Sun reported.

It will be the second year in succession that Prince George has celebrated his birthday in Mustique.

Prince William and Kate also released all the pictures of Prince George celebrating his birthdays since he was born.

Meanwhile, according to The Sun, George is one of the Queen’s favourite family members, and regularly spoils him with presents when he stays over at Buckingham Palace.

George famously came up with a new nickname for his great-grandmother, “Gan Gan”, which helped cement her affection for him.

“The doting Queen takes time to select little presents that she leaves at the foot of George’s bed every time he stays over,” The Sun reported, adding that she “goes out of her way to spend time with him.”
