‘Strip That Down’, the first song by Liam Payne after the break-up of band One Direction, must still be very much in his head.

The 25-year-old, who is still to release a solo album, was totally stripped down when snapped stark naked by photographer Mert Alaş and naturally the social media world went into meltdown.

In the snap a naked Payne seats his bum on the photographer’s chair while giving the camera a sultry gaze. With no clothes to shield the singer, fans could see Payne’s muscles and tattoos.

Payne tweeted that it was a similar to the famous image that Alaş took of the UK model Kate Moss.

The former One Director star recently worked with the Mert and Marcus photographer Alaş, on a Hugo Boss campaign.

Payne’s Instagram page is full of pictures with the brand, as evidenced below, and the split with Cheryl Cole, the mother of his son, is the reason behind the album being delayed.

The ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ singer opened up on his unique choices when it comes to his wardrobe – admitting he often donned certain things to “annoy” people.

“I’ve got a long way to go before I could be considered a style icon,” he told the Evening Standard. “There’s a shot of me wearing this furry thing with no T-shirt and sunglasses on – inside – and red jogging bottoms. I don’t know what was going on that day,” he said.

“I think there was a part of me that enjoyed that the way I was dressing was annoying people — I was like, I’m going to get abused whatever I wear.”

Payne is said to be worth US$60 million, according to Forbes.

Since One Direction broke up in 2015, he has released a plethora of singles. ‘Strip That Down’, featuring Quavo, was his first release in May 2017, then ‘Bedroom Floor’ and ‘Get Low with Zedd’. In January 2018, Payne and Rita Ora released the single ‘For You’ from the soundtrack of the movie Fifty Shades Freed. The musician released ‘Familiar’ with J Balvin.

He released his first extended play, ‘First Time’, which featured a collaboration with French Montana, on 24 August 2018.
