Eminem, rightly credited for his acclaimed songs bringing hip hop to the ears of most of the world’s population, has named his all-time favourite rappers.

NoLifeShaq, who has two million subscribers to his YouTube channel, posted a video of himself DM’ing 30 rappers on Instagram to find out who they think is the greatest rapper of all time. Eminem was asked “Who is the greatest rapper of all time?” but did not reply in time for the video.

However Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, took to Twitter to respond to NoLifeShaq.

“For me, in no particular order… Toss up between [lil] wayne, [2]pac, royce [da 5’9″], jay[-z], redman, treach, [kool] g. rap, biggie & king crook,” Eminem tweeted.

His fans would know that he mentioned his favourite rappers on the song ‘Til I Collapse’. He raps, “I got a list, here’s the order of my list that it’s in. It goes Reggie, Jay-Z, 2Pac and Biggie/André from OutKast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas and then me”.

Eminem has estimated worldwide sales of more than 220 million records. He was the best-selling music artist in the US of the 2000s and the best-selling male music artist in the US of the 2010s.

Billboard named Eminem the “Artist of the Decade (2000–2009)”. Rolling Stone included him in its lists of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time.

He has won 15 Grammy Awards, eight American Music Awards, 17 Billboard Music Awards, an Academy Award and a MTV Europe Music Global Icon Award.

He has created history by having 10 number one albums on the Billboard 200, which all consecutively debuted at number one on the chart.
