Donald Trump has issued an ominous warning to Kim Jong-Un, saying his nuclear button is bigger and more powerful.

The provocative tweet was published just hours ago in response to the North Korean dictator’s New Year’s Day address.

In the statement, Kim said his launch button was “always on the desk in my office”, and that the regime’s nuclear ambitions were now complete.

Mr Trump’s personal counter reads: “North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”

Mr Trump’s tweet followed comments from ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, who said talks between Seoul and Pyongyang would be nothing but a band-aid solution, and reiterated that the US would never tolerate a nuclear-capable North Korea.
